Hi, and welcome to our online store! We hope you are able to browse smoothly through the Plain Jane Shop. We are a family run business that has been in operation for 20 years, specializing in Victorian Lampshades.

Today the fabrics available are unbelievable. All the way from reproduction vintage to high quality silks. Fabrics are an art in themselves so this makes our ability to put together beautiful shades even easier! Your own fabric can be used too so don't be shy about customizing your own shade. Our trims are hand dyed for each shade and are color coordinated perfectly. Our use of color and their combinations are what make our shades stand out as different and make them at home in either antique settings or with a more modern decor.

Our color combinations set us apart from all other Victorian shades. We use a unique process to dye our Victorian fringe. A special spray on dye enables us to have fringe colors that no one else can match! Need a custom dye job? Just email and we can match any fabric.

Each frame is hand bent in our own frame shop which Javier runs. We not only make our own frames but we also design them. Amy and Heather (identical twin sisters) complete the shades by sewing, coordinating and hand dying each and every shade. Amy will answer your emails with promptness! Then Tessa (13 years old) makes sure that each customer knows that they are appreciated!

All our shades can be made up in four different sizes - small, medium, large and extra large. We will be glad to help you out in choosing the right shade for your lamp. Don´t be afraid to ask about custom shades, most times custom shades cost no more than similar ones listed in our catalog.
